band sawn cabinets in family kitchen - craycray?

we would copy these doors, which are band sawn beech , handles instead of holes... do you think i would ever be able to clean them?
am at the cross eyed stage of colourplanning open plan kitchen sitting diner.

I think they'd in reality be a nightmare to clean as the open rough texture would just collect crap and grease would soak in over time.
I love natural grain and different materials & textures used throughout but I think this wouldn't last well in this situation and you'd end up replacing very quickly.
It's one of those style over substance trends that look better in the magazine than in real life use.

Couple of coats of paint and they're wipeable, there's no cracks
