Can/how do I fix painted doors?

A ‘helpful’ friend of a friend has done a number on them with the paint Sad

The edges around the glass oanels are so jaggedy. I think they used frog (?) tape to try and get a clean edge. When I took the tape off some of it stuck under the edges some of it has come away leaving flakes of dried paint.

I have pulled away what I can, and tried to scrape it but its still not leaving a clean edge.

Is there anything I can do??

This is only the first coat (after primer) so II think I might just do the 2nd coat myself now but I’m a bit weary of making an even bigger mess!

Use a razor blade to scrape away the excess. Easy job. Almost impossible to avoid getting paint on the glass in my experience. You can buy a fancy 'paint scraper' for glass, which is basically a razor blade attached to a plastic handle.

Thanks that’s what I’m trying but its still uneven. After looking online I have a feeling it’s to do with the tape, maybe tearing it off took some of the paint off too.

Its not just on the glass but the actual wood edges are uneven if that makes sense? And it’s very visible.

Masking tape is the work of the devil! Do the top coat yourself with a steady hand.

I agree with the comment about tape. I always do as much as I can without tape, as you get a much cleaner edge.
