Log cabin/garden room

We are just at the very initial planning stages but are thinking of having a log cabin/garden room put in our back garden - mainly to be used as a games room/additional social space for the kids. Just looking for advice for anyone that had had one installed - mainly pros/cons and cost! Thank you!

Check size/planning /building regs.
Insulate well.
Run power and Internet to it (and light the path to it).
Cost varies from not much more than a shed to say £4k-£5k decent log style one to £10k plus for beautiful lined cedar garden room.

Hopefully bumping this post up as I'm also interested and would also like to install plumbing for an en suite (but appreciate there are probably planning/drainage issues!!).

Very reasonably priced. But add on the concrete base and electrics. We built it ourselves, very easy.
It seems to be the teenage party house!
