How easy is it to install a dishwasher?

Standalone or integrated?

If the plumbing/electrical socket is in place then it's very easy.

One power lead, one cold water in pipe, one waste out pipe.

If you have to create the connections yourself, it's a PITA - get a fitter in, you don't want to risk it with water!

If you have all the facilities already in place, it's little more than putting in a plug, screwing the water pipe ring on and opening the little blue tap, and popping the waste tube onto a waste socket or down a pipe.

It's stand alone. Got a plug socket. It's the fitting with the water connection and waste pipe I'm stumped with

Yep - if there aren't already places for the cold water pipe and waste pipe to go, you'll need to get a plumber in to create them. Have a look at this to see what the cold water and waste pipe look like, compare with what you have:

Exactly the same as the washing machine. But you do need the correct fittings.
