Mine took 5 days. Depends what you're getting done I suppose

MarmiteTermite · 18/12/2018 22:19

We are 6 weeks in but that’s another story!

Alexalee · 18/12/2018 22:23

5-10 days

TheRhythmessCarolMan · 18/12/2018 22:33

A month

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 18/12/2018 22:57

5 - 7 days. Maybe a little bit more if there's loads of tiling, huge floors, moving plumbing. Can't imagine one going longer than 2 weeks.

Wingedharpy · 18/12/2018 23:00

Mine was 12 weeks but I think the plumber got comfortable and didn't want to go home!
I started packing up his tools in an effort to get him out.

LadyWithLapdog · 18/12/2018 23:03

A few days. Depends if they’re waiting for new delivery of cracked-during-transport cistern or whatever. Or “shit, where does this extra pipe hidden behind the wall till now go to?”,

WonkyDonk87 · 18/12/2018 23:09

A few days to plumb the bath/shower/sink/toilet.
Seven months to tile. 🙄 (it was his first time to be fair, and he is a perfectionist)

Blibbyblobby · 18/12/2018 23:16

Ours took years! (DIY). We often emailed a radio show while we were working - he ended up giving occasional bathroom updates. It was 3 jobs ago, and when I see old colleagues they still ask if the bathroom is finished yet.

AlannaOfTrebond · 18/12/2018 23:19

Depends on what you are having done.

A small family bathroom with no significant change to layout I would expect 3-4 days max. Larger or with a dramatic change of layout will obviously be longer.

LoisWilkerson1 · 18/12/2018 23:20

Mine took 6 days. Full refit including tiles and ceiling, lights etc

pepperjack · 19/12/2018 00:09

Layout staying the same, small en-suite shower room. All tiles off and retiled.

I'm just annoyed that the start was delayed and now I want to be getting ready for Christmas and I've got workmen traipsing through the house. I've got no Christmas presents cos I can't leave the dog in with them.
Skip still outside, and I want my bedroom back.
They were also supposed to be making some changes to the main bathroom but that's going to have to wait til after Xmas. So probably be about 6 weeks in total.

4 weeks plus 5 months waiting for them to come Grin

justanotherdowntroddenmass · 19/12/2018 00:26

Two very long days with very late nights. Full plaster board and skim, new floor and electrics and plumbing. Needs the finishing touches of skirting and a little filling and tiling.

DerelictWreck · 19/12/2018 00:40

These responses are mad!

Mine took 8 days for a full refit including a custom built shower with seating!

purpleface · 19/12/2018 00:46

When I used to sell installations the average was seven working days.

pepperjack · 19/12/2018 08:35

Reckon it'll be done by Friday, the tiling is looking great at least!
