Hello, my husband and i are looking to move around the falkirk/Stirling area. My husband is commuting to Glasgow and i will be commuting to Dunfermline. I think we will have around £240 000. We are looking for a fairly good sized house, 3 bedroom etc. We have a baby and want somewhere that has good facilities for children and good schools. So if anyone could give me info on the area that would be great.

I'm probably not much help as I don't live round there but we have friends in the newer part of bo'ness who are happy there. Lots if families about and nice houses? Bumps for you at least!

How about the larbert area, on the west side of Falkirk? Easy access to the Kincardine bridge for yourself to get to Dunfermline and straight onto the motorway for OH or the train has a decent Glasgow service. Plenty houses that would suit your budget and facilities and schools are good, although my littles are still a bit small for school.

Bridge of Allan, Dollar, Linlithgow or Dunblane - all have good schools & transport links.

You might get more responses by getting this moved to the Scotsnet section.

I know a family who have put several children through Larbert High school and all have done well. It punches above it's weight academically.
