Just about to give sitting room floor quick sand before painting - any advice? Going to paint with little greene floor paint - do I need primer?

I'd do primer, more primer, more coats of paint, top coat, the works.

We did our concrete kitchen floor in little green paint, it looked fab, for about 10 minutes before it all started flaking off.

Oh no!!!!! That sounds nightmarish!

Are you sure about painting them? We just sanded ours then sealed with osmo clear matt oil which has given them a gorgeous natural rustic finish.

I’ve used the Osmo before and it’s gorgeous for sure, in fact I have a tin of it sitting there, but they’re not actually that nice floorboards, not the original ones at all just an old pine installed floor. But maybe the sand and wax would work. It gets a lot of traffic making it sound like pain would be a nightmare.

Osmo have some coloured oils/waxes which might give the sort of effect you want but be more hard wearing than paint

white you utter legend that is PERFECT
