Hello all,

We are looking to buy a property that'll need planning permission, full renovation / extension etc. Can anyone recommend an Architect in Battersea, who knows well the regulations of Wandsworth so we don't waste time & have a permit granted as quickly as possible.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations.

Kind regards
Yvonne

Granit know Wandsworth very well.

Best way to avoid hold ups IME is to speak to your neighbours in advance of submitting and see what their reaction would be to your plans. In Wandsworth your plans only get considered by the committee if there are 3 objections (assuming it’s not listed or similar) so it’s worth doing what you can to avoid objections.

Loads of the building companies in that area offer an architectural service, too. Might be an option if you want a design and build package. There's also Stuart James Associates who do architecture/building regs/party wall so you don't have to co-ordinate. They do a lot in SW London.

Might sound too obvious but given the housing stock can be quite similar in neighbouring roads , it might be worth have a tootle round the area and see whether any architects have a sign up outside a similar house - rules do change ( internal things as well as external - not to contradict mini pie at all - sage advice ) so worth knowing someone is currently doing work & it has been signed off.
