Burnished brass sink

I'm in the process of designing my new kitchen. I'm going for dark blue units and am thinking I would have brass handles and brass taps. And then I got to thinking that in that case I should have a brass sink.

It sounds a bit naff but I think it would be lovely especially if it's burnished brass.

I'd ideally like a 1.5 sink, undermounted sink but when I google it I can find lots of brass single or double sinks and lots of copper sinks of all sizers but am not having much luck finding a 1.5 sink.

Has anyone seen any?

Plus, does anyone know of a good taps / sink showroom in the London area that would just have everything in it - I don't mind buying online but I'd rather go and have a look in person!

Thanks!

do you employ a full-time scullerymaid?

How many times a day will she be repolishing the brassware?

It might look lovely in the light of current fashions but would look extremely dated in a few years.

I think there's a good reason that chrome plating was invented.

Can't help with showroom info. But the design sounds lovely, but as pp have said hard work to keep looking good. It's also true that blue & copper/brass/hold tones ate having a moment but if you love it go for it. Who cares if it dates if you enjoy it. Also...it's a classic combo.

There are a lot of metallic effect sinks on the market now and I know Olif make a gold finish bowl and a half sink. www.olif.co.uk/collections/monarch-gold-sinks/products/alveus-monarch-line-10-gold-inset-sink?variant=942720221
It looks quite brassy but is pretty pricey.
There is solid one pictured on this page but I don't know where it is from.

Maybe you could Google the image.

I think in your position I’d consider a white ceramic sink. I agree with PP that brass will date very quickly.
