Help! Have I made the wrong paint choice?! Dulux Almond White vs F&B Shadow White

Hi All, I've got the decorators in to decorate my hallway and after some deliberation decided on Dulux Almond White which is a lovely warm creamy colour. At the 11th hour I came across a tester I had from previously of F&B Shadow White but in the light I wasn't sure if it was too dark/grey (I'm not a big fan of pure grey - I do like grieve). So the decorators having already started I was under pressure and chose Almond White and the hall has now been painted - not quite finished yet - but I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice. Almond White is a lovely light warm creamy colour- totally inoffensive- no peach of magnolia but I'm wondering whether it's a bit bland and boring. The Shadow White might be a classier more elegant number- but I don't want it to be too dark or grey. Help! I will have to tell the decorators when they arrive tomorrow morning to repaint if necessary!

Downstairs I will be sanding and varnishing the original parquet (in pic) and up the stairs and in the hall upstairs I will be having a grey carpet running which I've shown a photo of and I'm not sure whether it goes with the Almond White. I think it goes a bit better with shadow white but probably should be ok with the Almond. The Almond probably goes better with the parquet than the Shadow White.

Pics showing the (mostly) finished hall are here. Plus the grey carpet and the parquet.

I've shown a painted square of the Shadow White against the already painted wall of Almond White.

Thoughts please?!?

Here's the already painted hall in the Almond. And here's a close up of the Shadow White against the Almond.

Oh lovely! It’s so stressful picking paint colours, especially when you have professional decorators in. I will confess upfront that I am a fan of white / cream (NOT magnolia) in hallways because it gives a calm space that you can dress in different ways. We have a lovely wood floor too and I think they complement each other very well. I’m sure that the almond will look lovely when it’s finished. Your staircase looks lovely - I LOVE a pretty entrance hallway / stairway / landing. Your house looks amazing 😊

@misstomrs thank you, & i do agree with you that white/cream in a hallway is really nice as it makes a house warm and inviting. I'm sure when it's all finished, carpeted and accessorised it will look good, but I'm just wavering as to whether it's a bit boring. I've got the shadow white test section out and it doesn't look so grey as it did before and thinking it's actually a nice colour. Perhaps I should get it all finished and then see- the decorators will kill me otherwise!!

I think you’ve made the right choice with Almond white. It’ll go well and as you say shadow white could be a tadge dark.
I’m loving your grey carpet and blue(ish) walls - my DD would love that combo - could you give me the info if you don’t mind me copying please?

Stick with what you’ve done, the shadow white is the same just darker, keep the lighter almond white.

Hi @snowglobes - of course- the bluey green is Marram by Fired Earth. I bought it because it was discounted at the time and didn't test it but I'm really pleased with it. This will be my DS room but I think it would suit girls or boys and I've had quite a few comments from friends as to how nice and fresh it is. I think you would be pleased with it in your DD room!
