What colour paint for kitchen units with black granite worktops?

I want to update our oak and black granite kitchen. In an ideal world, I would replace the worktops with marble or wood, but that's not an option. Painted units and island will be a quicker fix. I will be painting the walls pointing, or school house white. Has anyone done something similar? I know very dark paint is having a moment, but not sure alongside the black granite.

I'd go for a dark green.

A quick look on Houzz has found white, pale grey, (Wevet by F&B would look great), pale sage and, inevitably, Hague Blue
so favoured at the moment (will this date very quickly?)

If you have great light in the room, dark colours can look great but I think I would go for a paler colour for the units and have a bit more of a darker toning colour on the walls.

Thank you. I was worried that the granite was dark, so would be too much with dark units too.
