Front Doors

We are in the process of buying a 'project house' which is in desperate need of a new front door.

We are likely to move beginning of December, my question is how long does it take to order a new door to it being installed? Hubby is happy to install if required/speed things up. Would be looking at a composite door too.

Also could we get them to measure up prior to moving from just the outside? Wouldn't order anything before completion but at least the survey part would be complete.

We're getting a composite back door measured this Wednesday but because of Christmas it won't be installed until the new year. I imagine it varies from supplier to supplier. I can recommend a good one if you're in the north east or north west.
