Seen old threads on this subject and thought I'd ask if anyone has up to date experience on the cost of moving a gas meter. I'm buying a flat with the meter currently located in the bedroom and the surveyor has says it isn't suitable location. Cadent (the gas provider) had quoted £500 just to get a bloke to do a survey and quote for the work. They can't give me any idea of price. Is this acceptable do you think? Anyone had experience of this - what did it cost?
