Blue in a bedroom?

I'm decorating our bedroom and like the idea of a soft muted blue but can't find one I like! It's west facing so gets afternoon sun but is dark earlier in the day.

Carpet is likely going to be a mid grey. Was toying with Denim Drift (Dulux) but I think it's going to be too dark. Then looked at Nordic Sky (also Dulux) but it was way too bright.

Anyone have a suggestion of a lighter blue that's still quite muted & soft?

I used Borrowd Light by F&B and it’s perfect in our bedroom. Changes all the time in the light, but it’s mostly the softest blue.

We have Quintessential Blue (dulux) which is muted / a bit greyish. I think its a bit like parma grey

Borrowed Light here too! We have it with Wimborne White wood and a brown carpet. You might think that’s odd, but it’s stunning! The blue works well with dark wood floors so the carpet replicates that. I have daffodil yellow accessories and blue/white ikat pattern blinds. I’m very fond of this room!

We have dulux cornflower white which looks blue, grey or sometimes white depending on the light.

@Kokapetl I was looking at that colour I really like it, thinking maybe that on the walls with one wall in Denim Drift.

I'd recommend clear skies by dulux heritage. We have it in our kitchen and I was concerned it's be cold but it's lovely. I'll post a pic.

I agree that blue is tricky. My DD just decorated her living room which is also west facing. It has pine floors and doors so a lot of “orange”.

She tried many light blue testers and they all looked like a baby boys nusery.

She tried grey blues like F&B Parma Grey, which my teenage son has in his bedroom , and Light Blue , which we have in our kitchen, but they were too grey.

She ended up going for F&B Oval Room Blue which is quite dark for my taste but she loves it.

It’s hard to find a warm blue.

I agree @KristinaM have been looking at Valspar paint today (my budget doesn't stretch to F&B!)

Going to get some testers made up, never used Valspar before though so not sure about quality...

Could a blue-ish colour work instead? Our north facing bedroom was a green-y blue when we moved in but is now Dulux's Lavender Quartz, which is a soft purple. It's a bit warmer than blue, and we have grey carpet and curtains, with white bedlinen and furniture.

I have denim drift in my bedroom and it's not dark. I'm south and west facing though rarely remember to open curtains and it's much lighter than I thought. Will post a pic when iCloud plays ball!

We have a dark turquoise blue but only on one wall, rest are Egyptian sand I think. Dulux as were one 2 for £20

Another Borrowed Light. The copies of F&B are really good and much more cost effective and hard wearing.

Valspar will scan in the farrow and ball testers and come up with the same colour. The man at the mixing counter told me last weekend that even F and B can't tell them apart. I have Dimpse which is the blue side of grey.

Yes agree with @potentiallypainful I used it in my DS room and was forever buying testers of borrowed light to patch up the marks he created. Leyland colour match in hardwearing matt which is scrubbable would have been much better!
