Help! We can't get this kick-board off.

We need to remove the kick board under our dishwasher, but it seems to be stuck firm. I've attached some pictures. We're not sure whether the metal fixings are relevant. Any thoughts?

I think it may be a spring catch - have you tried pressing down on the metal "tab" that bends forward from the front of the metal clip? It should release it. Good luck.
