Does anyone have a cooker hood which they love?

I need one, going to have to be a recirculating one. I can’t find one which I like.

Hob is against a wall rather than on an island.

I think I’d like something a bit different/unusual.

We have a concealed one from Ikea with a charcoal filter (doesn't need to vent to the outside, although you can fit it that way if you want). You can reclaim the space above it as a cupboard.

That's the cheapest one - there are nicer options.

Ours pulls out slightly when in use.

If you're wanting a feature then probably no good... we're happy with ours as we were a bit short on space.

We have a Lamona angled extractor in our Howdens kitchen which I love. I am tall and inevitably hit my head on chimney extractors. It’s similar to this one but has glass either side. I can’t find our exact model online. No idea if it’s suitable for recirculating, however.

I have one of these

It hides in a cabinet, so may not work if you don’t have wall units either side of the hob. ‘Not having one’ can be great look, and smartens up the look of a modern kitchen.

On Pinterest I’ve seen lots of ideas for cladding a basic wall hood to make it more of a feature. For example some people build a box around theirs and then tile on the box to match their splashback or paint it to match their wall, some people have a sheet of copper around the box, some people make it look like a false chimney breast and old fashioned chimney fireplace.

Just had this one installed today - it worked out very pricey with the recirculation kit with no chimney.

As you can see, we have no wall units so I wanted a standout extractor and one that tall DSs and DH won’t bang their heads on. Had a very awkward kitchen with too many windows/doors etc which made the positioning of the ovens and hob and venting the extractor outside impossible. Just trying to work out how to use it now......

Have a Luxair similar to Countingto10 one, looks like a TV

I don’t have and don’t want any cupboards on the wall so don’t think boxing it in would work. I like the look of the tv style ones so will investigate those, thanks.
