Any damp specialist?

Spoken with the homebuyers surveyor and he said high damp readings, in the bay window, midway between skirting and sill. We are going there today, what should we look for? Are there any telltale signs that could guide us as to what kind if damp it is likely to be?

Apparently quite often around windows it can be a condensation problem.. that's what we were told anyway!

Yes, we are hoping it will just be condensation/ventilation but as it is half way between the window and skirtings so not sure. There is also a radiator on that wall so I'm not sure we will be that lucky.
