Bath panel conundrum

I need a new bath panel, but I have a size issue. The builder put the bath in and then tiled around. So now the distance between the wall and the end of the bath is 169cm, so if I get a standard 170cm panel it is going to stick out. Can I just slice a cm off the end? That sounds tricky. That’s what I guess the builder did originally, it looks a bit gappy and wonky on the wall end!

"The builder put the bath in and then tiled around"

Yes, some builders are stupid.

pull the old one out first, then have a look at the gap. You may be able to insert the new panel and then shuffle it sideways a bit. You can cut panels.

Fit it so it can be removed by undoing a couple of screws every time you need to get at the plumbing or dry out a wet floor. Perhaps you will find some spare tiles behind the panel.

Don't get a plastic one, it will crack.

Thanks PigletJohn , I had a feeling that wasn’t a method that all builders used!
