Never bought a hoover before- recommendations?

Hi, all our rentals have included hoovers and now we’re buying a house I’m clueless! We have a golden retriever who sheds a fair bit, but we have a limited budget so really need good value for money. If anyone has recently bought one and would care to share knowledge I’d be so grateful!! Thanks!!

Cheapest Miele canister vac. They're brilliant

Have had my black and Decker 2in1 for a week now - tis awesome! Cordless and light, does a lovely job on carpets and hard floors and I use the small handheld for stairs/crevices etc. Not going back!!

Miele. Pricey but we've had ours for 9 years with two dogs. Sent it off last year for a service for £85 after a part broke (my fault- dropped it down the stairs and a button fell off) and it came back working like a brand new hoover!

We've got the car and dog one.

Miele cat and dog, we have had ours for nearly 17years. 5 children, up to three dogs, lots of cats...... It was expensive at the time but over the years ended up quite cheap.

Since we’re also looking for a bargain I’ve seen this on hot uk deals, and a couple of you recommended the shark liftaway- sounds good as for the time time in a long time we will have stairs in our home!!! (Been renting flats!) would you say £199 for the liftaway plus free upgrade to pet beidh (no idea what this is) is a good deal? Thanks again for all the advice !!
