Budget for build running out! What did you 'waste' your money on?

Water softener gone, we're decorating it ourselves! Any other tips? Thank you.

How far have u got? What r your big budget items left? Can you live with cheaper vinyl floor until you've saved for your lovely floor tiles and fitter? Also wall tiles/splash backs can be fitted later. And light fittings can wait.
