Buyer had valuation survey today, does this mean they're not getting a full structural?

We were told by the EA that the buyer's survey was happening today-but it turned out just to be the basic type (bank valuation). Does this mean they aren't getting a full structural survey, or will this be arranged separately? I can't remember if this is done through the bank or not and whether it would therefore be done at a later date?

Thank you!!

Ours were separate.

Yes, they are separate. The buyer could choose not to have a fuller survey if they wanted, although that wouldn't be a good idea.

Some banks do only basic valuation. If you want full survey or home-buyers report you need to arrange it separately.

Valuation is done by the bank. Survey is separate

EA probably used the incorrect term.
