Kitchen flooring

We are putting in a new kitchen in our house and have a tight budget. The current room has old marley tiles and we're looking at ceramic tiles or new anti-slip slightly cushioned lino for the new room. We had laminate in our old house but didn't like the floating floor effect.

We won't have the budget for underfloor heating for the ceramic tile so which is best, in your experience?

I'd recommend high-end vinyl tiles like amtico or karndean. I had ceramic in my previous kitchen and utterly hated it.
