Where to shop for bar stools??

I have been scouring the internet and cannot find barstools that I want. Have checked amazon, John Lewis, Habitat and Wayfair. Where else should I be looking? I’m hoping to find something quite tall with clean lines (maybe Scandi-style), with actual legs (no centre disc thingy) and an actual chair with a back since we have young kids. The legs would ideally be black or possibly wooden and not heavy or chunky; would like something modern and airy looking. Supposed to go in a kitchen with wood floors and a white matt handleless kitchen with (white quartz marble effect worktops). I fear white and steel or
chrome would make the space feel too cold. Any ideas??

Atlantic shopping has a big range

However for what you describe you may have better luck with somewhere like Cox & Cox, Rowen & Wren, Graham & Green or similar type of shops. (For some reason they are all Something & Something!)

Or try Made.com, Swoon, Habitat, Loaf?

What's budget like?

I've been eyeing these up for when we finally get round to doing our kitchen. Think they fit your criteria too.

Just a thought but we had to change ours because they were a 'set' height instead of adjustable which proved a bit of an issue when you have small children one minute and then lanky 6ft types the next.

wowfudge · 25/10/2018 18:46

We've got the ones smudge has linked to with black seats. Very good for the price and comfortable too.

How much do you want to spend? These are pretty!

Get these whilst Debenhams still exists!

If you Google “bar stool chair” loads come up.

Dunelm often has bar stools.

Made.com and Swoon Editions. Or a knock off of the Kartell Masters stool (or the real thing if you’re feeling flush).

I've not ordered from them but Danetti seem to have loads. We actually got some from IKEA as a stop gap and have ended up keeping them as they're comfortable and exactly the height we needed!

SazCat · 25/10/2018 19:27

We have these from Ikea and they're great

Lakeland has a sale on until Sunday.

We have the Kartell Masters stools in grey and they are 100% worth the money. Really stylish and comfy for the kids as they have a back. So so easy to clean. Light but very sturdy. Defo recommend.

NotMeNoNo · 25/10/2018 20:53

Peppermill interiors do stools for pubs but they sell to anyone. Lots of faux-industrial but a few modern styles too.

ByeByeCircle · 25/10/2018 22:00

Barker and stonehouse have some nice ones. We got ours from Atlantic - great service

BubblesBuddy · 25/10/2018 22:21

I have the Kartell Masters dining chairs and they are excellent. I would look at www.houseology.co.uk. They have a great Scandi selection.
