TRV help...

Alright, I admit defeat...

I have four vertical radiators, all fitted within the last 18 months, with TRVs. There are no markings on them and I'm filing miserable in my experiments. I need some one, anyone, to tell me which side to turn to adjust the temperatures...and which way...and if it's both valves, which way do they go?!

I appreciate this is a first world problem, but I'm really confused!

It's the same principle as taps isn't it - turn left to loosen (turn on) turn right to tighten (off)?

Though I have normal rads with TRV on one side only, so may not be any help!

Look at the invoices or other documents for any info on make and model.

You screw them down to close and up to open.

If you turned them all the way in one direction and put the heating on wouldn’t that solve it? As surely the rad would then be either very hot or totally off and you’d know which way was which?!
