House number sign - recommendations

I'd like a smart house number sign, probably contemporary style with the number and street name (as its a main road where it's easy to miss the street name). Any recommendations for suppliers?

Plenty of online suppliers. Are you looking for slate, glass , stainless steel etc?

https://honister.com/slate-products/

I got ours from them. Very pleased with it.

Plus it supports a small British company providing local employment.

NotMeNoNo, yes there are lots of online suppliers, so it's hard to sort the wheat from the chaff. That's why I'm looking for recommendations, inspiration and ideas.

Jelly - I do like the slate, though they look a bit pricey. We're on holiday in Wales at the moment so maybe I'll look out for something similar while we're here. It would be a nice memento as this is our first holiday since we moved in August.

Still open to other recommendstions though, if people have them.

There are several places in Wales that do this using local slate. I can't remember the names, though!

Theres the National Slate Museum in Llanberis (well worth a visit, and Electric Mountain, too). And another, where you actually go down into the mine at Merthyr Tydfil. Haven't been to that one in over 10y, but it was also an excellent museum to visit. Very experiential, rather than looking at tidy things.

Thanks. We're staying near Swansea, so the Merthyr Tydfil one is a possibility if we head up that way, Will take a look. I have a 14 year old and a 12 year old, so they're too old for theme park style caves, but not for a genuine slate mine if its well presented.

Very happy with the sign I got from these guys (via John Lewis) www.housenameplate.co.uk

We used www.delaboleslate.co.uk for our sign in Cornwall. Very pleased with it. Glass companies will do you etched glass which looks modern. You can incorporate the number in the glass in a front door.

My parents bought a slate sign from www.buysigns.co.uk. It looks really lovely and I know that the company were endlessly patient with my (incredibly ovefussy!) parents and made them lots of different mock ups of signs so that they were happy with their final decision. We are moving house soon and I’m planning to get one of the more contemporary looking ones from them when we do.

I've just ordered one of these, mostly because it was a bit different to others I've seen:

Not arrived yet so can't comment how good it is.
