Virgin Money/E Surv house valuation

Hi All

We are going through our mortgage application with Virgin Money. All has been going well everything is pre approved pending the valuation. We had confirmation last Monday and a letter from the surveyors to confirm their T&C (not something we've had before!). Still no one has heard back for a date for the valuation.

Our Buyers however had their mortgage pre approved on Monday and valuation booked in for Friday!

I feel really grumpy with the surveyors virgin have elected (E Surv!?) as they seem to be sooo slow! Has anyone had any recent experience with either Virgin Money or E Surv?

The only thing I know about Virgin money, (apart from what you have discovered, that getting a valuation done takes its time) is that they have their own panel of solicitors that you need to choose someone from. If it turns out that you haven't it will delay things. This has happened with our buyers & really pissed off the entire chain! Hmm

This is the case with all lenders. Any mortgage provider will insist the solicitor being used is on their panel.

Hi dismum90 -

Have you heard from e.surv Chartered Surveyors regarding your valuation appointment? If not, please feel free to message me your basic details (name, your address/address being valued) and I will look into this for you.

Thanks @DavidWard nothing as of yet. Do you have an email I can send to?

Just messaged you directly.

No experience with Virgin Money, but e.surv carried out our survey and we had no issues - ours was organised and carried out within a week.
