Annoyingly the EA we are planning to buy a house from doesn't do floorplans (or pictures of the upstairs but that's another story!) Having had our offer accepted 8 want to start planning works. Does anyone know of an app or website where I can create my own floor plan? TIA.xx

Are there any houses of the same design locally, that have floorplan on their sale particulars that you could use as a starting point?

I did this with a house further down the street, that had sold and had a floorplan.

I used Room Sketcher to create a plan of our house, it's fairly easy to work out how to use it.

Graph paper & tracing paper, ruler and a pencil
Cheap easy to get hold of and just as easy to draw up a basic plan as on a plan drawing program

I'm an architect and have lots of very expensive & cheap drawing programs and I always start with graph paper/ tracing paper, tape measure, a ruler & a pencil.

Roughly draw out the rooms and how they relate to each other don't worry about the sizes yet - use the squares
Then measure up marking the original drawing
Then redraw using the squares so you get the measurements approximately right. 1square per 10cm or whatever fits

You can then use tracing or greaseproof paper to trace options over the top.

Good luck
