Bathroom refit

We're redoing our bathroom and I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to look for the actual hardware.

I've heard to avoid B&Q, Wickes, Victoria Plum - where do people recommend instead?

I had a look at city plumbing but was a little put off by the one year warranty (whereas B&Q offer 10). Is Ikea any good?!

Do you have any decent builders merchants where you live? Something like Travis Perkins. They tend to sell quality products. Avoid buying off the internet unless you’ve already viewed it in person and you’re sure of the quality.

Thanks so much for the advice!

I've just ordered loads of bathroom stuff from Ergonomic Design. I read online that the best ceramics are from Rak, Roca, Duravit and Vitra. I found they had the best prices. Also QS supplies, and fountain direct.

For taps I read on here that Bristan are a good brand. Also Grohe.

Look for reputable brands and go from there.
