Stoke Park area, Bristol

Hi does anyone know if Stoke Park, Bristol is a good area for living? I really like the park, but am a bit worried about the large student population there, because it's close to UWE. It's like almost half of the houses are student lets.

Also it is a bit close to M32, so the noise is a concern.

Thanks

Do you mean old stoke park or newer Chiswick village.
I know a few who used to live there since moved.
It does have a lot if student rentals as so close to uwe.
But great bus links
Ok catchment for primary schools secondary i think is trickier.
Stoke park estate lovely for walking dog
Takeaway and shop in Cheswick make it better as used to feel quite isolated.
Traffic stoke lane can be crap.
But you can cut up long avenue through Cheswick village to mod roundabout and filton retail park.

I like the area.
Just not keen newbuilds.
Check out actual proximity to student or social housing as freind Has Some issues in Cheswick but moved to lyde which is much worse.

Old Stoke Park, around the Yellow Castle. The agent is actually honest enough to say that for home buyers, the area is pricey, because price pushed up by BTL. The house is OK and need some minor work and north facing garden, but I really like the area. The student and social housings are a bit further north. Seriously thinking about making an offer.

Why is Lyde Green much worse? I viewed two properties there. And thought one of them is a "maybe". I did notice the traffic noise from M4 and traffic jam, but anything else?

My other choice is in Catbrain near cribbs, a bit close to M5 and lack of parking space but big house. Anyone knows the area?
