House is on market at £325,000, it needs some work doing as some rotting wood in window panes, very old flooring etc. Another house in much better nick on at £340k has just reduced its price, so have gone in with a relatively cheeky offer of £295k and will see what happens. There has been another second viewing so they may hold out to see if that person offers. Eeek....

I would tell them that was your final offer but if the other offer falls through come back to you. Then look at other houses.

I'm intrigued as to what the dealbreakers are on the other house now OP. Confused

Dealbreakers are things that can't be fixed/changed: I don't like the street and the garden backs directly onto an A road.

That makes it sound like the cheaper house was well priced.

bathsh3ba · 19/10/2018 08:56

It wasn't necessarily overpriced but our final offer was close to asking price and (a) I personally don't think it's worth the full asking price (b) the agent has been snooty and unhelpful and (c) we are not in a hurry to move so I can't be bothered playing games.

HaHa. I know what a dealbreaker is, just wanted to know what they were for you on that particular house. Your reasons sound fair enough to me. All you can do is keep looking. Good luck. Flowers
