Please help! Which Best Buy. Homecare

Single mum and I can’t have the same experience of last year leaving my children and I freezing without hot water or heating

So.... I’m going to buy a homecare policy

It’s a huge favour but could someone who is a Which member please tell me which is their best buys

I can advise you not to use Homeserve. Whilst their advertising states they come out within 24 hours, they neglect to tell you they will leave you high & dry without a remedy for a further 3 weeks.

Ditto British Gas.

I also cannot recommend homeserve. They were unable to find me a plumber when we had a water leak on a Friday evening. On the Monday a guy came said yes a leak, you need a builder to trace it, and left.

My elderly mother in law had a similar experience. They promise peace of mind and don't deliver.

We have British Gas Homecare for everything. I can call for boiler, plumbing, electrics & 6 appliances within my kitchen. Yes its expensive, but for the peace of mind its invaluable.

Is that boiler cover or something else? British gas homecare has 61% on there. I can't find a best buy thing for it though as it just comes up with British gas when I put in homecare.

for our old home, we used homecare. (we are in a new build now so don't need it ) We paid quite a bit, but had the top level package at the time. They were generally very good and often would send someone out same day for a job. other times not so great and sent wrong person.
