Help! No Running water!

These incompetent gas contractors are putting in new gas pipes in our street.
Today they did our house and had to dig up our drive way accidentally cutting through our water supply pipe in the process, several hours later they “taped” up the damaged pipe and water was restored. But just after teatime the water stopped. Not hot water first then no cold water. We called the Water board who were very helpful :) .
An engineer came and said some debris from when the cowboys accidentally cut our pipe must have got into our narrow pipes in the house and caused a blockage and we’d have to get a plumber.
We can not flush the toilet, get washed or anything. Because of these cowboys thousands of pounds of damage could have been done if the plumbing system needs to be taken apart to remove the blockage and it could take weeks. I just hope these cowboys are liable for any cost and compensation for the damage and degrading situation they’ve left us in!

Oh no!

I’m so sorry. It’s the worst thing no water, worse than no electricity. At least you can get standalone lights, heaters and stoves.

I don’t want to make you feel worse but are they competent to be putting in gas pipes?

Has next door got an outside tap that you could attach a hose to?
