KITCHEN REFURB - DREAM DOORS ANYONE?

Hi all
Wondered if anyone has used Dream Doors? They are Uk-wide and offer a door/worktop replacement service and any additional units you need. Seem to be like Kitchen Magic (who I haven't tried as reviews online are not that great). Am in West London (W5) area, would be grateful for any experiences anyone has OR any recommendations of a reasonably priced fitted if we decide to try and buy everything ourselves. Thanks in advance :)

Our next door neighbour has just used this company. I am very impressed with the results, so much so that I am intending to get a quote from them. Extremely good results on my neighbour's kitchen, very good conduct by fitter (punctual, tidy, lovely quality of work and attention to detail). Neighbour's kitchen was large and in poor condition, needed a lot of addtional adjustment to carcasses and tweaks to layout, the new doors transformed the cupboards (not worktop). Cost around £5,000 and took exactly five days.

I actually didn't think it was a good idea and was very skeptical, having seen the before and after, I am keen to use the company myself depending on the quote.

Hi Bootkin

What area are you in? Please do update this thread if you get a quote from them. I'm also going to try to find a local fitter and get a quote for fitting if we supply (buy) everything ourselves.

I'm in Wiltshire and we used them a couple of years ago for a new kitchen pan drawer and integrated fridge/freezer. They were brilliant, not pushy/no hard sale (ours was a clearly a small job) and quality of work great.

Would recommend Smile

We used them in Worcestershire and they were good.

SatsumaFan - we are hoping for an integrated fridge freezer, we have the space we just need to purchase it and have a housing unit for it put in. May I ask what they quoted for your integration? I am also looking at having them replace our current doors with new ones.

SatsumaFan · 30/10/2018 18:15

Oh gosh, I can't remember sorry. Also, we already had integrated appliances so it was just a swap plus fixing the hinges.

I’m in TW16 so a good bit fir their West than you, and I will most definitely update, I need to call and make a time with them. Looks like it’s a franchise so the quality of the service depends on which franchise you deal with. My neighbour used Ashford TW15 version of DD as shall I. Other areas have mixed results (a horror story here or there in other areas!) so it does seem to be important to use a franchise that’s recommended.

I found an integrated oven and they just put door in it.

Hi everyone,

Just updating the thread.

We had a quote today from Dream Doors (Harrogate) in Yorkshire. We are having doors, handles, drawer fronts, plinths, edging and integrated fridge freezer with housing unit, and also an intergrated washer/dryer with door. They are moving some electric sockets to accommodate integration and the quote was £4600 which includes VAT and fitting. Our kitchen is large and U-shaped with around 21 doors in total.

There was no hard sell and the salesman was keen to give advice. If we got appliances elsewhere we would’ve saved around £200 but the electric work would’ve been a separate expense also.

We paid 50% up front and the rest after completion, it takes 2 weeks to get materials and 5 weeks until they can fit and it’ll be 2 days of work to fit the kitchen.

Hope this is of help to anyone. :)

I used the Bournemouth branch last year. Went to shop couple of times to see products, then salesman to my home. They made a few tweaks to my plans. Replaced 17 doors + 3 drawers. Removed pull out larder unit with shelving and 2 wire drawers. Cost £3400. Took 1 day. Very professional and clean. Moving again soon and planning to use again.
