Benchmarx recent experiences?

We have narrowed the choice down to Howdens or Benchmarx - the latter my preference just because of the salespeople and unit finish.

Is one better than the other or are they really just much of a muchness??

Howdens the only one to price so far at approx £9K inc appliances but no worktops. Kitchen isn't that big so feels a bit steep. How much wiggle room is there after they've given you the best October sale price??

We had quotes from both 2 weeks ago, benchmarx actually came in nearly £1k higher than Howdens

October is the best month of the year for deals with both, both offered a free dishwasher but in googling the howdens one seems slightly better quality

As we’re removing a howdens kitchen I was happy to go with another one, the present one has been in for 12 years and is still in good condition but just doesn’t work with my disability

We have a Benchmarx kitchen, went in at the beginning of the year. So far I am happy with the quality, and the design was great. I was a bit unimpressed by delivery though. Everything was shipped out in bare cardboard boxes, no packing materials and none of those peel off protective covers. We had a few scratched items and our sink was completely broken - they had just dumped a porcelain (or whatever I mean) sink in a box, no bubble wrap! We got replacements without argument, but it just added delays. For the price you pay it seems ridiculous that they can't be a bit more careful.

I had a kitchen from then on March. Really like the build quality. We had a few minor problems, a faulty drawer front and tap. Called them up and the problems were sorted within a day or two. I would recommend them

Have you looked at DIY kitchens? Much cheaper and still good quality.

I think our builder is keen on a howdens or Benchmarx and I really like their doors! Glad to hear quality seems good.
