Huge Cupboard

There’s a massive cupboard opening off our living room where I keep the vacuum cleaner, light bulbs, tins of paint etc Much of it is unused so how can we make better use of the space?
We can’t knock the wall down because the house is listed.

when you say massive, how big are we talking? is it big enough to convert into a bathroom? if so, i would do that. or, if you have any pets then that could be the room for them?

Could it be some kind of home office area?

Add a built in desk, chair and shelves for paperwork or use it as an away from the kids craft area?

Can you post a picture to give some idea of how massive you mean?

Reading nook/ computer space for kids/ coat storage?

What do you need/ want in your house? What would make it better?

Cupboard is L shaped, about 2m along each part and 1.5m wide.
Because it opens off the living room it’s not suitable for a bathroom and is too enclosed for anyone to want to sit in there. There are shelves where a previous owner kept stocks of tinned food in the war!

I’d put really good storage in there and keep out of season shoes and coats etc. Or sporting eqipment.

Could you use it as an airing cupboard?
