help..Horsforth search for house!

Trying to find a house in Horsforth around Town Street area but am really struggling and losing heart...have looked at 30 plus houses . One I loved but couldn't get a mortgage on as it was timber framed and the survey said unsafe.
Is my budget of £240 000 for a 3 bed unrealistic?!
At the moment am renting, can move at short notice and desparate to buy...anyone any ideas other than combing Right move all the time?

Sorry to hear you are struggling finding a house. TBH £240k is tight for a 3 bed in Horsforth, there will probably be some compromise and anything nice will go very quickly. If you are only looking around TS that's quite a small area - have you looked slightly further away? It's the other side of the train line but this is still within walking distance of Town Street and within your budget. I used to live in the Dale Parks and worked by Morrisons and took me 20 mins to walk to work.

We live up near the train station so LS16 postcode....you get a lot more for your money and 2 mins for station 15 mins walk to town st. We absolutely love it

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/55059927 is the area I'm talking about

There is also a house for sale in Kerry street, so practically on town street, but it is £10k over your budget - it looks lovely though. Would you look at buying a bit further away and then moving in a few years? You may find that the longer walk to town street isn’t as bad as you think, it’s also handy being closer to the train station if you want to go out in Leeds or Harrogate. We drive to town street quite a bit and there is always parking.

Your budget is tight, yes. The market is also slow (am buying/selling in the same area). We've viewed lots of knackered overpriced houses in LS16 and LS18 in the last few weeks.
I guess things may drop closer to Brexit but who knows... if you want to buy now, your best bet would be to expand your search area or find somewhere that needs work and make a bit of a song and dance about it.

Thanks everyone...can't see the one on Kerry Street though?
We could perhaps stretch slightly on budget but would rather not.

How about streets just off New Road Side instead of Town Street? TS would be around a 5 min walk from any of these:

Rose Avenue, Horsforth, LS18

Victoria Gardens, Horsforth

Rose Avenue, Horsforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Just realised you’re after 3 beds... that’s the Rose’s out of the window. The 2 Victoria Gardens links are the same house, but different agents - it is a 3 bed though!
