Argh...why does buying a house always turn into a nightmare?
We're in the middle of the chain - 2 above us and 2 below. Our first buyer pulled out but luckily we'd had a second offer and they were still keen. We're right back at the start with their conveyancing now so obviously exchange and completion have been delayed. Initially we should have completed the end of this month. Now the person at the top of the chain - the vendor of the house the owner of the one we're buying is buying - is saying the chain must complete mid-November or they are going back to market. I just don't know if that is realistic but we love the house we're buying and don't want to lose it. I know the seller of our dream home doesn't want to lose hers either but she is annoyed because it's out buyer pulling put that has put her purchase in jeopardy. There's so much angst going round stirred up by the most overdramatic estate agent I've ever met.
Look we all want to be in for Christmas, why can't we just delay completion to.end Dec to give our buyer time to get their conveyancing done. Surely that will happen sooner than if they go back to market to find new buyers??
