Rusty windows

Hi, wondering if anyone has any product ideas/advice for rust marks on windows.
I've just moved into a house and when taking the blinds down, the plastic vents on the tops of some of the windows are missing. I can't afford to replace the windows, but where they have been there are rusty holes. The frames are plastic but obviously there must be some metal inside the frame somewhere.
It will be covered by my new blinds, but now I know they are there I'm thinking I need to seal it somehow. They currently have gorilla tape over them 😬

buy some new vents.

Please photograph some of the old ones. include a ruler in the photo to show dimensions.

Also the holes in the frames (inside and out) showing the spacing of the screw holes.

There will be somebody in your town who specialises in repairing double glazing and plastic doors. Try to get a personal recommendation.

I agree wit PigletJohn if you can't afford a full replacement then a repair might be doable.

You can calculate a guide cost of replacement here: www.doubleglazingontheweb.co.uk/

But you can also ask for them to put you in touch with someone who might be able to offer repairs or advice.

some examples here and hundreds more on Ebay, but if you are not handy your local plastic window mender will do it.

The inside one usually has a cover that can be closed in windy weather and there should be a rain cover on the outside, with insect mesh.

Thanks everyone, will get a pic tomorrow @PigletJohn. Didn't realise I'd be able to get the vents, I'll start looking into it Smile
