Tall DP teeny bedroom

V grateful for thoughts on this. My DP is very tall (6ft3) but the bedroom in our new home is likely to have v small bedrooms (9ft4 x 8ft9). Would it be crazy to put a king size bed in? I think we could get it in (just about) and a small chest of drawers and then use a hall cupboard as a wardrobe. But would it be silly to have such a big bed? We are in a double now but it's small.

One of those high up double beds ?

That's a good idea, I'll ask him what he thinks. Definitely a good use of the space

If you are like most people you only sleep in your bedroom. My DH is taller than yours and we used to have a very small room with a king bed and just two stools as bedside tables - then one chest of drawers. Luckily our wardrobe was elsewhere. It's so worth it for the space. I'm not short either so we couldn't sleep comfortably every night on a double. Also get a bed that has no footboard, so saves you bashing your legs when walking round it!

Maybe an extra long, standard width double?

As someone who is six foot seven, yes, get as big a bed as you can!
We have always had a super king, no matter how tight it was to fit in.
The wife mistakenly told me beds go up to Caesar size, and I really want one. Fed up with sleeping at an angle and having my feet sticking out the end.

We had our wardrobe on the landing and used the kids rooms for wardrobes too. Tbh, I don't iron anything, so drawers are fine for me. Lots of pegs or hooks on the back of your door, under bed storage bags or boxes

Dh is 6’2 we have a king size with under bed storage on a gas lift frame in a 10x12 room which helps enormously it’s space

We have an extra long king size and it’s worth it if you’re over 6ft5. I’ve wondered whether a standard length super king would do the same job and be a better use of space in our room.

Yes def get the biggest bed you can fit in the bedroom.

You could get an ottoman bed that lifts up to maximise storage underneath.

Thanks all, he definitely wants a king size (although long double might work better so thanks for that). I really appreciate all the advice!
