Could you fit an island in this kitchen (floorplan)

This is a house I'm considering putting an offer in on. The kitchen feels like a lovely space compared to my dinky one, but I'm not sure if it would fit an island or not? It currently has a big dining table in the middle and a large sofa up one end, which feels slightly awkward and like it's not the best use of space...

I think the general rule is that 1m is required around the island to give enough space to get past

I think you could have a single unit depth one parallel to the run of units with a sink and an overhang for a breakfast bar if you wanted. Is there space for a dining table elsewhere?
