Utility Room or Breakfast Area

I have a room in my house that is used for nothing. It is where the old kitchen used to be before an extension was built (rough picture attached).
I'm contemplating whether to move the utility room into this room and change the utility into an office as its quite a large room. I'm just wondering what other people would do with the space.

IS the floor plan the current floor plan?

It's handy to have a door leading from the utility room, hanging out washing, taking off muddy boots, that type of thing. I'd leave it where it is and since it's large make the most of it with storage.
The misc room could be anything really. Office, dining room, snug.

Yes its the current floor plan.
I have to walk through the kitchen and lounge currently to hang washing out otherwise id have to walk down the side of the house to the back garden.

I would keep the utility and WC where they are and like PP says max storage and have washing drying in there etc.

I'd open the misc room right out to the kitchen and have it as a breakfast area and put in big patio doors to the garden to make it a lovely light space.

I wish we could do that, unfortunately we're on a hill and its steps down to the garden from the lounge patio doors. I do think adding to the kitchen would be a better use of space though.

I think we have a similar extension and similar old style house. This is ours, I don't know if it gives ideas. The kitchen is on the left next to the office (it's actually a snug)

You could still put in a lovely big window floor to ceiling, they don't have to be patio doors.

Oooooh I love @Baxdream layout

I agree with serbska about big glass panels. It would look amazing!

Ps thanks, it actually works perfectly

A walk in larder/pantry, and somewhere to store veg racks, wine and large pieces of kitchen kit.
