Who do you call in for this?

I have giant double sliding doors. They're only 7 years old (age of the flat) and the usual white pvc etc etc but the seal is clearly dodgy in the middle as they are letting a lot of cold air in. The seal also looks like it's warped a bit in the heat this summer which wouldn't be surprising as they are west facing and get very hot.

I have absolutely no idea who on Earth you call to fix something like this! Help me Mumsnet - is there such thing as a "door man" or a "dooratrician"?

I’d try a local window/double glazing company.

Double glazing experts.

Does the flat come with any sort of NHBC guarantee? Are windows covered in that?

Otherwise, double glazing people would be my guess too.

Would it be covered by the building warranty? I thought it would exclude doors...

Unfortunately, from what I gather about NHBC guarantees, they may just show a glimmer of interest if your house is practically falling down, otherwise (and I put it politely) they will just refer you back to the builder.
You may as well just get the double glazing guys in from the outset.
