Anyone own a neff or siemens induction hob?

I'm trying to decide between the neff 90cm induction hob (one without the knob - T59TF6RN0) or the siemens i700 siemens induction hob (EX975LXC1E) . Has anyone got these two hobs? Which is better? I'm leaning to the siemens as it looks easier to clean, but we're keen cooks so which is better to cook on?

I can't really tell any difference so any help would be great!

Kate

I have a Neff induction hob although mine is the one with the knob. I absolutely love it! I cant see why the Siemens would be easier to clean. As far as I know all induction hobs are day to clean. They don't get hot enough for stuff to get burnt on and just need a wipe after use.

I have neff
it is just a sheet of glass set into the worktop so a doddle to clean
its ten years old and I still love it

I have a 90cms Neff Induction hob with a magnetic knob that we leave on the extractor hood when it's not in use on the hob. That means the hob is just a glass sheet which can be easily cleaned/wiped.

I had exactly the same one as Spickle. When the kids were small I liked that you could remove the knob and kids couldn't turn on hob. I moved house recently so don't have it any more but i did love it

I have a seimens and food does get caked on it - mostly under the cast iron stuff that does get very hot. We cook a lot too and the Siemens looks it's age, the glass is chipped around the edges and cracked in one corner. The next one I buy will have a metal frame around it. We got a 60cm induction and a 30cm domino gas wok hob.

I have a Neff induction hob without the knob. Love it.

My sister on the otherhand has the Neff with knob model. She will testify that what you shouldn't do is have a big Xmas Day lunch with your parents and PIL and leave them to clear up (and somehow throw away said knob). Then invite all the extended family round for Boxing Day lunch and realise half way into cooking for 15, that you have no way of turning on hob!

(Replacement knob ordered for £70 I think which arrived a few days later). T'was very funny watching my BIL desperately trying to turn it on with a fridge magnet Grin

There is an override for a missing knob. It's in the manual. Ours got put away in the fridge at one point (???) But we found it 24 hours later

Yes, I think the manual was last seen buried in the loft Grin

I've got a 90cm Neff without the knob - absolutely love it.

My hob has no knob.
It has the metal rim around the edge so has no chips.
Windolene gets even the most burned on food loose
SO LONG as you clean when the glass is still warm
