Metallic Paint

Just wondering about your metallic paint experiences? I'm thinking of painting our WHOLE bedroom in a gold metallic paint, and was wondering whether anyone has done similar. Main worry is that it might look tacky - or alternatively rather glorious.

Make sure you line the room with lining paper first......will save hours of grief when you want to change it and also will help give a good smooth finish as long as you use a thick grade paper. As for metallic ? Nope I painted a huge pair of gates with copper hammerite but that's about it

Sounds a wee bit 90s.
