Exterior Mailbox

We are looking at new front doors.

Some of the styles I like don't have space for, or would like wrong with, a letterbox.

Does anyone have an exterior mailbox? Any particular type worth looking at?

We have one. Our front door was to thick and heavy to put a letter box in.
I really like it although I am prone to forgetting to check if there is anything in there.
I suppose it could be a security risk, my DP had this idea that it's safer but I just asked him was he not concerned that people might pinch the post and he's panicked now as it has never occurred to him.

We have an aluminium front door which I love and after I ordered I realised it didn't have a letter box, apparently it's from Belgium and they don't have letterboxes to prevent droughts and let the cold in. So I had to order an outside one, we've had it for four years now and we love it.

I love your door beachbody - it's not dissimilar to some I have been eyeing up.

We have one. It cuts down on junk mail as the opening is quite narrow and brochures etc won't really go through. I can't remember what type is but i think they are all pretty similar.

You may have the option of putting a letter box hole in the wall with a collection on the box inside.

London that is a possibility - the wall is at the side which is the garage.

Our road is fairly quiet - so I don't think anyone will nick our post. I have seen some mailboxes which have a holder for newspapers also.

All the exterior mailboxes I have had (I live in Belgium) have had keys, so are secure. Will be having one fitted to my house when I move back to the UK, as it will cover the current hole in the wall for the post. Have a hard wood front door with no letter box, so an exterior one will be better.

We have one. Sorry can't remember the name of it but it is the same one as the first photo. When we put it on the wall the postman said the top opening ones are the best. It lockable and the front opens.
