Any good? I've seen mixed reviews...

I bought a hideaway desk from them earlier in the year. It’s ok - a bit expensive for the quality, though. I probably wouldn’t buy from them again unless it was something I absolutely couldn’t get similar elsewhere.

Plus their delivery drivers were not good, really annoyed that I insisted on them unpacking the furniture despite having paid extra for that service.

I've bought quite a bit from them over the years, and most recently last week a few living room furniture items.

It's lovely quality, and I think good value for what it is - real wood, fully assembled.

Their customer service is great and I've had no issues with delivery.

Thanks - good info.

We got a wardrobe recently and it had minor damage that didn’t affect the look of it. I emailed them pictures and they immediately offered money off or a Quality checked replacement. Very good customer service.

I have a few items from Cotswold co and am impressed. A couple of years ago I bought two expensive desks for my dc from CC and managed to get them to knock off about £200 from the price using my 'previous customer' leverage - worth a shot!

I got a bed. It's great but quite expensive. Really sturdy though.

Same opinion/experience as Sidge Smile

I bought a full bedroom set from them about 3 years ago. It's since been through 3 house moves (had to be put up and down 3 times) and is still as good as new. It's lovely quality and my dad who is a joiner by trade has commented on the quality more than once.

I've got a sideboard and tv stand from there. The sideboard had a bit of an unsightly wood knot in it (think the hole-y type). It wasn't a fault as such but I emailed them to ask if I could get a sample of the paint so I could fill and paint it and the offered to exchange it instead. The delivery drivers even unpacked the new one and repacked the old one as I'd got rid of the box.

I've bought several items from them - a nest of tables, a bedside cabinet and a console table. I am very pleased with them. Delivered when they said and well packaged.
A friend bought a dresser which turned out to be damaged, it was replaced without a quibble.
There is a similar firm - 'furniture123' (sorry, can't do links), which is cheaper. I bought a pedestal dining table off them for under £100 - almost identical to Cotswold Co.

Bellaposy, which set have you got?

I bought from the lower end of the range - two bookcases and a dining table plus chairs and I wasn’t impressed. The dining table top has marked badly and I eventually waxed it which improved it somewhat.

In regard to the bookcases, the backs are unfinished planks and to be honest, I got better quality and cheaper bookcases at Argos.

In regard to the assembly, I bought a table and four chairs as a set (so one price and one entry on checkout) and paid for assembly. When it was delivered, the delivery people refused to assemble the chairs. I rang up to complain and they just kept repeating ‘you’ve only paid for one assembly’ which is fair enough but I think it should have been clearer on the website that one entry in the catalogue doesn’t mean one assembly fee. I wouldn’t have bought if I’d realised I had to assemble the chairs myself.

If you go higher up the range you may well get better quality.

I’ve bought lots of bits over the years, all of it has been great except for a wardrobe I got for my sons room which smells weird, woody and damp. Have never been able to get rid of the smell, thought it would wear off but it hasn’t. Everything else lovely but as pp says the more expensive stuff is more solid and you can get similar bits cheaper from other sites like Roseland.

I have just boght two bedside cabinets - they looked great on line - in reality they are cheap and nasty - made in China not in the UK - They will be returned and I won't be purchasing any more of their tat
