when they market a property in this condition, for offers over 400k?

jeez, what a state.
I’m guessing owned by an elderly person who’s died and relatives have picked the place apart?
Price does seem mad

Bit of a do-er-upper

Ginorchoc · 23/09/2018 18:50

They do say you might recoil away in horror, wonder what the family think of that 😯

Big plot. Demolish the garage and build another house behind the bungalow or a pair of semis facing the street.

Berimbolo · 23/09/2018 19:35

Whilst the house may have potential, the price is what's wrong with the SE housing market. I'm not sure the offer of the iPad is going to sway anyone but I may be wrong!

Wow! Is it on an amazing piece of land and the theory is you'd knock it down and build something else there?

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 23/09/2018 19:47

Surely even paying a few cleaners to do a professional clean would mean they could add £ to the price? Looks like there’s been squatters in it.

KanielOutis · 23/09/2018 19:49

I live ten miles from there. If they can fit three houses on the land as posters above have said, they would get £1.8m for three renovated and completed new builds. Not a bad investment.

RossPoldarkfan · 23/09/2018 19:56

It's not just what goes through an EA mind, it's what goes through a vendor's mind. It looks as if squatters got in after an old person died but why on earth didn't they clean up before putting on the market?

Berimbolo · 23/09/2018 20:10

Sorry to disappoint, the plot is literally the width of the garage and bungalow. A decent garden but it's right in the middle of a housing estate so you could knock it down and start fresh but it's still expensive when compared to other properties in the area in much better condition.

I guess I was just shocked to see it.

It's the development value that's the key to this. Also the street is a long one with different types and styles of houses.
