Exciting thermostat question!!!!

Exciting question alert! I have a Honeywell analogue thermostat which I want to replace with a digital programmable one. Will I need to replace the receiver too or can I just link the new thermostat with the old receiver. Need to work out if I need an electrician or not!

Thanks to anyone who can answer this!

yes, if it is a wireless one you will need the complete kit.

If it is a wired one (likely if it is an old analogue one) then a wired digital can connect onto the existing wires.

Wireless ones go wrong more often than wired.
