Advice on replacing windows

I could really do with getting new windows in my flat, the ones I have are double glazed but old and quite drafty.
Does anyone have any recommendations of companies to use (or to avoid!). Am I best going for a big national company or a smaller local company (I'm in west Yorkshire if anyone knows a local company to recommend).
And any ideas of price??? It's a two bed flat, seven windows - I know I could contact some companies for quotes but I don't want the hassle of them chasing me up asking if I've made a decision yet etc, etc. I just want to have a rough idea, basically to work out whether I can afford it this year or next!

Where in Yorkshire?

The pleasures of double window salesmen are about to befall you. (I had no idea they were of a certain type before I had to investigate) (I'm sure there are decent ones but we didn't come across any)

I think everyone will advise you to avoid national companies and go to a reputable independent one. That's all l can advise.

Don't use the big companies. Find a local independent who has been operating for a number of years.

Just be aware you'll need to get the freeholders permission and you may need planning permission if they aren't exactly like for like replacements.

I don't know if these cover west yorks but they don't put any pressure on you, we got them round to measure, they email a quote and leave you to it. We didn't get the windows done in the end (from anyone) but I thought they were reasonably priced.

I recently got mine done by a local company. So much cheaper than a national and I love them.

Sheffield WC was my recommendation too If you were in SY.

It all depends on your requirements, really. If you're looking for a rough price range and know what size windows you need, this website really helped me when we were renovating our home: uPVC Window Prices & Costs (The Most Extensive UK Price Guide of 2018)

Hope this helps!
