It would take a lot of money to get it up to scratch. It might need knocking down and rebuilding.

WildCherryBlossom · 18/09/2018 12:34

It's like Lawrence Lewellyn Bowen got together with the set designers for Crystal Maze and took a lot of drugs.

What do you mean about it taking a lot of money to get up to scratch?

WildCherryBlossom · 18/09/2018 12:45

I think singlenotsingle is thinking the garden needs a new roof when actually the mock ruined abbey courtyard thingummy is a desirable design feature.

But knocking the whole thing down and starting again is certainly one way to go.

My god that is awful: what have they done with the photos? It's so in-your-face it's overwhelming and you can't see what is going on. There also aren't enough photos.

WildCherryBlossom · 18/09/2018 12:47

You're right Wowfudge. We need more photos.

The kitchen looks tiny on the plan but maybe that's because the main rooms are freakishly large.
I'm sure they have a significant spider problem

VauxhallVectra · 18/09/2018 12:53

I love it Grin

ArtemisWeatherwax · 18/09/2018 12:57

What the Jeff?

VeniVidiWeeWee · 18/09/2018 12:57

Nope. I don't think we do need more photos. I think if you could seriously lay out 3m you could decide from what's there whether it's worth a viewing.

DeadBod · 18/09/2018 13:00

It looks like they've employed an artist to paint the rooms rather than take photos.

Member · 18/09/2018 13:18

Surely if you can afford to build a fake ruined abbey and have friezes painted on your ceilings, you can afford to employ an estate agent who can photograph your property better? Confused

chickenfeathers · 18/09/2018 14:56

OMG it looks like something out of the Addams family!!!! 😱

WildCherryBlossom · 18/09/2018 15:13

😂😂😂 it really does doesn't it @chickenfeathers

The inside is hideous and really uncomfortable looking, but I have to admit to rather liking the outside although I know that I shouldn't. Blush

wowfudge · 18/09/2018 15:25

It's not helped by the HDR filter used on the photos. Hideous mock medieval/baroque mansion with yellow LED lighting and a multitude of paint effects anyone?

specialsubject · 18/09/2018 15:30

flood zone...

mommybear1 · 18/09/2018 15:43

Wow just wow 😲

mommybear1 · 18/09/2018 15:44

*to clarify not wow in a good sense Grin

Harleypuppy · 18/09/2018 16:38

I used to work in Wraysbury. They're not connected to mains drainage. The septic tanks smell awful when they're emptied. I quite like it, apart from the septic tank.

TerfsUp · 18/09/2018 16:44

Horrible: ground floor and lower ground? No way. Plus, the two floors are connected by a spiral staircase - not even a proper staircase that would be helpful for getting furniture up and down.

For £3,000,000 they are having a laugh.

TerfsUp · 18/09/2018 16:45

Ooops. I see there is a small first floor area.

But still nope.

WildCherryBlossom · 18/09/2018 21:36

It just gets better & better - £3m for a mock ruin below ground level home in a flood zone with no mains drainage 😂. And that's before you start to consider the "unique" decor.

OP posts:
edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/09/2018 22:04

Yikes! I have to say though, I really admire the person who did that floor plan - Ive done a fair few of them but I wouldn't know where to start!

Cyw2018 · 18/09/2018 22:18

@Harleypuppy
you realise there are plenty of people living in the UK without mains sewerage (particularly people with large houses and grounds), and we are not suffering in a cloud of our own stench!! Modern sewage treatment plants discharge 99.8% per water, they are not just a hole in the ground full of shit!!

Aside from that,
I kind of like the garden. The décor is hideous though.
